With a remarkable market share of 80%, Salvagnini is the innovative world leader in automated sheet metal working machines. The dynamically expanding mechanical engineering company has been family-owned since it was founded in 1963 and is located in the northern Italian county of Vicenza. Production and technological developments are ensured at four locations in Italy and Austria. An international group with 23 operating subsidiaries and more than 1,700 employees, the Salvagnini Group is present in over 75 countries.

The German site, in Hüttenberg, Hesse, specializes in after-sales services and supports all Salvagnini plants in Germany, Switzerland and the Benelux countries. With nearly 50 employees, the company services over 600 plants in more than 30 industries.

Salvagnini and TELOGS – double is better.

Salvagnini sheet metal working machines are usually directly connected to a production line that also includes a storage system for sheet metal blanks. A stacker crane is integrated into this network, which delivers the sheet blanks from the storage facility for processing. With this solution, Salvagnini offers its customers complete systems. As the world’s largest specialist in sheet metal working machines, Salvagnini entrusts the maintenance of its stacker cranes to TELOGS, the specialist in intralogistics systems. In partnership, TELOGS is responsible for maintenance, repairs and emergency services on Salvagnini delivery equipment. In the DACH region and Benelux, TELOGS supports a dozen Salvagnini systems at various customers, including Weiss Technik GmbH, a company of the Schunk Group.

Oliver Repp, production manager at Weiss Technik GmbH, sees clear advantages for himself in Salvagnini’s collaboration with TELOGS:

“We speak with only one contact regarding scheduling maintenance and do not have to worry about coordination between the manufacturer and the maintenance company.”

Since 2019, the Hessian company Weiss Technik GmbH has also had a Salvagnini sheet metal working machine. Here TELOGS carries out the service of the stacker cranes. Weiss Technik GmbH is the market leader and one of the most innovative manufacturers of environmental simulation equipment. The test systems can be used to simulate various environmental influences around the globe and even beyond in fast motion. The equipment enables temperature, climatic, corrosion, dust or combined stress tests. The company supplies systems in all sizes, from series production to customized, process-integrated systems with high reproducibility and precise test results.

Professionals go to professionals, go to professionals.

“Where people meet at eye level, the best solutions usually emerge,” says TELOGS Managing Director Jürgen Dönges. “Experts rely on experts” is the principle that offers safe production and sustainable growth. In the constellation with Salvagnini and Weiss Technik GmbH, he sees the principle consistently implemented: Weiss Technik uses sheet metal working machines from the world market leader Salvagnini. The expanding mechanical engineering company, in turn, used the specialized expertise of intralogistics provider TELOGS to service its storage and retrieval systems. This is a symbiosis in which all parties win and can fully assert their own claim to quality and support.
